Executive Committee Representatives: Treasurer

 

Purpose:  To solicit applications and identify/award the IIRSA Student and Professional Scholarship Awards. Work with the Finance Committee in identifying and creating events/opportunities to provide funding to the IIRSA Scholarship fund.

 

Function:

  1. Coordinate IIRSA Student/Professional Scholarship program.

    1. Review current information and application forms, making recommendations for revisions, if necessary.

      1. The number and amount of awards offered annually will be determined by the financial state of the IIRSA scholarship fund.

      2. Decisions on the number and amount of awards offered will be left to the Finance Committee and the IIRSA Executive Board.

      3. Other Awards - Other conferences can be submitted for consideration and approval.

    2. Distribute applications to Professional and Student members. Work with the IIRSA State Director to market and publicize scholarship opportunities.

      1. Distribute application for the Scholarships to IIRSA professional members 60 days prior to the upcoming IIRSA State Workshop.

      2. Distribute application for the Scholarships to IIRSA undergraduate and graduate students 60 days prior to the upcoming NIRSA Annual Conference.

    3. Conduct the review and selection process. Work with the IIRSA State Director to provide recognition for the scholarship recipients.

      1. Collaborate with committee members to identify and announce winners 7 days in advance of workshop.  

      2. Present winners at the workshop.

    4. Work with the IIRSA Treasurer to determine the award amounts and ensure reimbursement to the recipients.

  2. Identify and create events/opportunities to develop an IIRSA Scholarship Fund.

  3. Coordinate IIRSA Scholarship raffle and auction held at the IIRSA State Workshop to benefit the Student Scholarship Fund.
